Anaesthesia Technician

About the role

To work as part of the theatre team providing quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia and to give skilled clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of care pre‑, during and post‑anaesthesia for patients following hospital guidelines and operation theatre standards.
• Ensure the operation theatre and supplies are prepared and that all anaesthetic equipment is cleaned, sterilised and disinfected pre‑operatively and post‑operatively.
• Control anaesthetic stock, medication and equipment.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Actively promote patient satisfaction.

Required profile

• Diploma in Anaesthetic Technology from an accredited institution.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Anaesthesia Technician according to UAE requirements (licensed in country of origin).
• Current and valid ACLS and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• At least 2 years’ experience as an Anaesthesia Technician in a hospital environment.

Required skills

• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of stock control principles and management.
