Architect – Planning & Projects Design

About the role

The Architecture team is seeking an experienced Architect to join the Planning Section. Reporting to the Assistant Director – Planning & Projects Design, you will lead design reviews, coordinate with authorities and ensure that architectural solutions meet regulatory, functional and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct timely authority design reviews and provide technical feedback in line with DIEZ regulations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver fully integrated design packages.
• Support Master Plan decisions by communicating design implications clearly.
• Liaise with external authorities such as RTA and DEWA to align projects with GIS and regulatory frameworks.
• Generate architectural concepts, massing studies, layout plans and façade directions.
• Review and optimise designs to ensure compliance with all authority regulations.
• Integrate architecture with structural and MEP systems while respecting master‑plan limits.
• Oversee consultants and contractors to enforce DIEZ standards and maintain design quality.
• Perform site inspections and proactively manage approval‑related risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (mandatory).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in architectural design and urban planning.
• Proven knowledge of UAE authority regulations and standards.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong understanding of material selection, façade systems and construction methodologies.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office packages.
