Area Supplier Quality Representative

About the role

The Area Supplier Quality Representative acts as Bechtel's primary contact with suppliers in the Abu Dhabi region. The role involves on‑site visits to vendor shops to perform quality surveillance and ensure that all supplied equipment and materials meet Bechtel’s procurement specifications, codes, and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Visit supplier facilities and conduct in‑shop surveillance, examinations, and selective hands‑on inspections.
• Verify that equipment and materials conform to recognized codes, standards, and Bechtel procurement document requirements.
• Reject any non‑conforming material and document the disposition.
• Collaborate with supplier and project supplier‑quality personnel to define corrective actions for disclosed non‑conformances.
• Review procurement document requirements with supplier representatives to ensure clear understanding and implementation.
• Monitor supplier personnel activities, including witnessing operations, inspections, and testing activities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 24 months (2 years) experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, or related field.
• Ability to travel to and work within supplier facilities in the region.
• Familiarity with procurement documents, technical specifications, and industry codes/standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
