Assistant Director, Business Development – Stern Executive Education

About the role

The Assistant Director, Business Development will support the growth of Stern’s Executive Education programmes in the UAE and wider region. Based in Abu Dhabi within NYUAD’s Office of Executive and Professional Education, the role bridges NYU’s global network with local market opportunities, driving strategic partnerships and revenue generation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across government, corporate and institutional sectors.
• Build senior‑level relationships and secure high‑value, multi‑year partnership agreements.
• Lead complex bids and proposals, from solution design through negotiation and contract finalisation.
• Collaborate with Stern faculty, NYUAD leadership and global NYU networks to tailor programmes to client needs.
• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape and client feedback to inform programme development.
• Represent Stern Executive Education at regional events, conferences and industry forums.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, corporate relations or partnership development, preferably in education or professional services.
• Proven track record of securing high‑value, multi‑year contracts.
• Strong understanding of the UAE and Gulf region business environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple organisations and cultural contexts.
