Assistant Director of Finance

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and support the Finance Director. This senior position will oversee a diverse finance team within a luxury hospitality environment, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all Finance & Accounting functions, acting as the Director’s delegate when required.
• Supervise accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, income audit, materials management, and cost‑control teams.
• Prepare and deliver timely P&L statements, balance‑sheet reconciliations, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
• Manage month‑end closing, financial analysis, and communication of results to senior leadership.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance roles within hospitality or a related industry.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Ability to act independently and represent the Finance Director in their absence.
