Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

The Assistant Finance Manager will join a government‑backed organisation in Dubai, supporting the corporate finance team with strategic financial analysis and reporting. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual contributor role offers high visibility and interaction with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and monthly variance analysis.
• Develop executive dashboards and management reports that combine financial and operational KPIs.
• Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover trends, risks, cost drivers and commercial opportunities.
• Design and automate reporting solutions using Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX and advanced Excel.
• Partner with finance and project teams to ensure alignment between management reporting and underlying accounting data.
• Support finance transformation initiatives by improving reporting processes, automation and business‑intelligence capabilities.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis or management reporting.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA or CIMA is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Prior experience in a large corporate or multinational environment; Big 4 background is an advantage.
• Ability to work autonomously with a proactive, data‑driven approach.
