Assistant Manager – Claims

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Claims will lead the review, analysis and response to construction claims, aiming to resolve issues before escalation. The role requires deep knowledge of International FIDIC laws, contracts and delay analysis techniques to support senior management and legal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse claims, providing timely responses to avoid escalation.
• Apply International FIDIC laws and contract principles to assess claim validity.
• Conduct delay analysis, advise on time‑delay related matters, and prepare counter‑claims.
• Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of various delay analysis methods for each case.
• Draft documentation for counter‑claims and contract negotiations.
• Assist in dispute settlement and prepare briefing material for senior management and legal teams.
• Coordinate planning activities and ensure quality management throughout the claims process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s in Construction Management or an LLM in Arbitration is a plus.
• Proven experience with delay analysis techniques.
• Comprehensive understanding of FIDIC contracts.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 for delay analysis.
