Assistant Manager Human Resources

About the role

The Assistant Manager Human Resources supports the HR function in delivering high‑level service to employees and management within a hotel environment. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the role assists with recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and HR administration while ensuring compliance with hotel policies, labor law, and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of HR in developing and executing the HR strategy aligned with global direction.
• Coordinate internal communications to ensure timely and appropriate messaging.
• Support the annual HR budget process and monitor departmental P&L performance.
• Participate in workforce planning, manpower forecasting, and conduct interviews for management positions.
• Oversee onboarding, performance management, talent reviews, coaching, and mentorship for senior and high‑potential staff.
• Analyze HR statistics, identify trends, and recommend actions to address key issues.
• Manage talent mobility across global properties and ensure effective talent development pipelines.
• Handle employee departures and dismissals professionally to protect the company’s reputation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR operations within a hospitality or similar service‑focused environment.
• Strong understanding of labor legislation, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for internal messaging and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to analyze HR data, manage budgets, and support strategic decision‑making.
• Experience in talent management, coaching, and performance appraisal processes.
