Assistant Manager – Payments Regulatory Governance & SWIFT

About the role

The Assistant Manager, SWIFT & Cross‑Border Payments Regulatory Initiatives supports the delivery of strategic SWIFT and cross‑border payment programmes across the Emirates NBD Group. Working closely with the Senior Manager, the role ensures regulatory compliance, operational governance and effective implementation of payment initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret regulatory requirements and develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for payment initiatives.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and secure approvals for SWIFT and cross‑border payment programmes.
• Provide operational, governance and implementation support across business, technology, compliance, risk and operations functions.
• Own day‑to‑day operational support of the Payment Hub, driving continuous enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.
• Manage SWIFT‑related services, invoice reconciliation, budget monitoring and adherence to financial governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of SWIFT standards, messaging formats and related applications.
• Good understanding of cross‑border payment infrastructures, ISO 20022 migration and Payment Hub architecture.
• Experience preparing BRDs, performing impact assessments and supporting project delivery.
• Knowledge of banking compliance, operational risk and governance requirements.
