Assistant Manager Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Reporting to join our finance team in Dubai. The role supports financial reporting and accounting functions for a well‑established organisation, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance and strong governance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reviews and reconciliations of accounting processes before senior management approval.
• Support preparation and finalisation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Supervise day‑to‑day accounting operations in line with guidelines and best practices.
• Review journal entries, transaction postings and financial data for accuracy.
• Perform preliminary reviews of AR, AP and General Ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies.
• Oversee cash, bank and trial‑balance reconciliation processes.
• Monitor and supervise reinsurance and third‑party insurer accounts.
• Guide and train accounting team members on systems and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and manage audit fieldwork requirements.
• Ensure accurate data entry and system usage within the ERP environment.
• Support compliance with financial policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in finance‑related initiatives and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certifications (ACCA, CA, CPA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the insurance sector with supervisory exposure.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
