Assistant Manager - Sales

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Sales will support the Dealer Principal in achieving sales targets, managing budgets and driving revenue from finance, insurance and accessories. This role combines operational oversight of the sales floor with customer‑facing responsibilities to ensure a seamless buying experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key performance indicators to maximise sales opportunities.
• Support the Dealer Principal in annual budgeting, unit sales and gross‑margin targets.
• Oversee daily sales meetings, monitor enquiries and activity through the Dealer Management System (DMS).
• Handle finance and insurance processes, generating additional revenue from these streams.
• Ensure all sales are followed through to meet customer expectations and brand standards.
• Drive the customer‑engagement programme and resolve complaints.
• Maintain showroom presentation and compliance with HSSE guidelines.
• Act as a brand ambassador and uphold data‑protection policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a sales environment.
• At least 3 years in an operational management position.
• Automotive industry experience is required.
• Strong financial awareness of banking and insurance processes.

Required skills

• Dealer Management System (DMS) proficiency.
