Assistant Manager - Technical Audit

About the role

The role will identify control gaps, evaluate compliance and recommend practical improvements to strengthen governance, controls and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits across various business functions and projects in accordance with the approved annual audit plan.
• Conduct audits covering project management, project development, construction/project execution, contracts, tendering, procurement and commercial processes.
• Review project-related controls including budgets, contractor/consultant payments, BOQs, variations, claims, change orders, progress certifications and project costs.
• Review the tendering and contracting process, including bid evaluation, contract award, contractual compliance and adherence to delegation of authority.
• Evaluate internal controls across Finance, Procurement, Sales, CRM, Collections, Projects and other operational functions, as required.
• Review project lifecycle controls from design and development through execution, handover and project close‑out.
• Identify process gaps, financial leakages, control weaknesses, non‑compliance and potential areas of operational risk.
• Perform data analysis, transaction testing, sampling and supporting‑document verification as part of audit assignments.
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports, highlighting observations, risk implications, root causes and actionable recommendations.
• Discuss audit observations with process owners and management and obtain appropriate management action plans.
• Follow up on previously reported audit observations and track closure of agreed corrective actions.
• Support investigations and special audit assignments as directed by senior management.
• Assist in strengthening SOPs, internal controls, risk‑management practices and overall governance framework.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of Internal Audit experience.
• Experience in UAE Real Estate Development / Construction preferred.
• CA / CA Inter qualification preferred.
• Strong exposure to project audits, contracts, tendering, procurement and financial controls.
• Strong analytical, audit reporting and stakeholder‑management skills.
