Assistant Merchandiser – Retail

About the role

The Assistant Merchandiser supports senior merchandisers in driving sales and managing stock for the M&S brand across the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on allocation, reporting, catalogue buying and store communication to ensure optimal product availability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accurate BTF settings, ratio balancing and guide allocators on processes and systems.
• Implement and operate the AI Allocation solution from Invent Analytics.
• Liaise with stores to understand regional needs, ensuring optimal stock levels and size availability.
• Generate and maintain business reports, track promotions, analyse weekly trade data and flag best/worst sellers.
• Produce seasonal sales analysis to support buying decisions and contribute to range development.
• Assist senior merchandisers in catalogue buying, maintain core buying sheets and enter quantities into IBT/Digital Range Building system.
• Prepare planograms using DRB and compare performance against previous year, budget and promotional calendar.
• Serve as first point of contact for stores on stock issues, support weekly trade communications and retail conference planning.

Required profile

• UAE nationals only.
• Minimum of 1 month relevant experience.
• Passion for the M&S brand and good market awareness.
