About the role

The University of Waterloo Dubai is seeking a full‑time Assistant Professor to join its English Language department. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate students using a blended learning approach, contributing to research, and supporting curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate English courses through blended learning.
• Maintain an active research agenda and publish scholarly work.
• Develop and update online curricula and course materials.
• Advise and mentor students throughout their studies.
• Design and deliver professional short courses for external audiences.
• Perform administrative duties as required by the department.

Required profile

• PhD in English or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
• Significant teaching experience at an internationally accredited university.
• Experience with online or e‑learning environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate computer technology into teaching.
• Proficiency in English language.
