Assistant Professor – Public Law

About the role

Abu Dhabi University’s College of Law is seeking an Assistant Professor in Public Law to join its faculty. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and community engagement in a bilingual (Arabic/English) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in public (or private) law in English and/or Arabic.
• Develop and supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Maintain an active research agenda, producing peer‑reviewed publications and presenting at conferences.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and departmental committees.
• Engage with the broader legal community through outreach, workshops, and consultancy.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of full‑time teaching and research experience with a record of scholarly publications.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and ability to mentor students.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard academic software (e.g., Microsoft Office, learning management systems).
• Ability to conduct legal research using databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and ORCID.
