Assistant Vice President – Compliance (Health Insurance) – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Vice President – Compliance to support the VP‑Compliance in ensuring that Orient Insurance’s health insurance business meets all regulatory requirements in the UAE. The role is based in Dubai and focuses on compliance with the Dubai Health Authority and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Review products, policy terms, underwriting, enrolment, claims, pre‑authorisation, reimbursement and complaints for regulatory compliance.
• Oversee compliance risks related to provider networks, brokers, outsourcing partners and TPAs, including due‑diligence, contracts, service levels, data access and audit rights.
• Monitor and interpret laws, regulations, standards, circulars and notices issued by DHA and DOH and ensure timely implementation.
• Coordinate with Health Insurance, Claims, Underwriting, Operations, IT and other departments to embed regulatory requirements.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date register of applicable health‑insurance regulatory requirements and monitor the company’s compliance status.
• Support the VP‑Compliance in the overall compliance framework and handle ad‑hoc compliance matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in health‑insurance regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of UAE insurance regulation, DHA and DOH requirements.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and manage compliance projects.
