About the role
The Assistant Welder supports welding, grinding and polishing operations, ensuring high quality, safety and efficiency. The role involves evaluating surface smoothness, monitoring equipment performance, and collaborating closely with the fabrication team to meet project schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate smoothness and absence of defects on ground and polished surfaces after welding.
- Measure productivity and speed of grinding and polishing operations.
- Monitor compliance with safety protocols during welding, grinding and polishing activities.
- Assess material usage efficiency to minimise waste.
- Track upkeep and regular maintenance of welding, grinding and polishing equipment.
- Work any shift and be ready to assist other departments as required.
- Complete welding, grinding and polishing tasks on time to meet project schedules.
Required profile
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Willingness to work in any shift and adapt to other departments when needed.
- Strong focus on safety and quality standards.
