About the role
The Assistant Welder will support the welding, grinding and polishing operations, ensuring high‑quality finishes and strict safety compliance on construction projects.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate smoothness and detect defects on ground and polished surfaces after welding.
- Measure productivity and speed of grinding and polishing tasks.
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols during welding, grinding and polishing.
- Assess material usage efficiency to minimise waste.
- Track upkeep and regular maintenance of welding, grinding and polishing equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with the welding and fabrication team and work independently without supervision.
- Complete assigned tasks on schedule, including shift work and occasional duties in other departments.
Required profile
- Willingness to work any shift and to assist other departments as needed.
- Ability to work individually without direct supervision.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Positive attitude towards feedback on weld quality and surface finish.
