About the role
Ajman University is seeking a full‑time Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Sociology or Social Work. The appointment aims to enhance gender balance in the department and gives priority to candidates with expertise in Computational Social Sciences or Digital Sociology.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Sociology courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Develop and revise curricula and academic programs.
- Supervise master’s theses and contribute to research training.
- Maintain an active research agenda with publications in high‑impact journals.
- Participate in funded research projects and interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Support curriculum review, accreditation processes, and departmental activities.
- Provide academic advising to students.
Required profile
- PhD in Sociology from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated recent research productivity.
- Proven excellence in university‑level teaching.
- Excellent Arabic language proficiency (primary language of instruction).
- Strong English proficiency (written and spoken).
