Associate Accounting Manager

About the role

The Associate Accounting Manager will support the regional finance function of a global hospitality solutions provider. Based in Dubai, you will oversee month‑end close, financial reporting and a range of operational finance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end close activities including accruals, payroll entries, journals and provisions.
• Oversee entity close processes across local accounting systems and US reporting platforms.
• Maintain the nominal ledger, prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and monitor daily sales performance.
• Lead weekly margin analysis, support forecast submissions and deliver variance analysis with management commentary.
• Review, reconcile and resolve intercompany balances, royalty and rebate accruals.
• Update exchange rates, monitor foreign‑currency exposure and act as primary contact for external auditors in the UAE and UK.
• Prepare UAE VAT returns, coordinate corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting cycles and build financial models for strategic decisions.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insight.
• Oversee HR onboarding documentation and manage Dubai office administrative functions.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; professional accounting board membership preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience and at least 2 years handling office administration.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong capability with other MS Office tools.
• Experience with ERP or BI systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment.
• Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and based in the UAE.
