Associate – Field Testing for Defence Equipment

About the role

The Associate – Field Testing will support Advanced Concepts, a division of Edge, in the planning and execution of field testing programmes for defence equipment and autonomous systems. Working on high‑altitude UAVs, precision loitering munitions and other advanced weapons, the role ensures that every test is carried out safely, accurately and in line with military standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and schedule field testing activities for a range of defence platforms.
• Develop and implement safety plans, risk assessments and hazard‑mitigation measures.
• Conduct pre‑test safety briefings and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
• Collect, record and verify test data, preparing detailed test reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, logistics and military stakeholders to prepare test sites and resources.
• Identify issues during testing, report findings and support corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in field testing, safety management or related defence projects.
• Strong understanding of defence safety regulations and military standards.
• Excellent organisational and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
