Associate Process Engineer

About the role

The Associate Process Engineer supports the engineering team by applying existing process procedures to solve routine problems. Working under guidance, the role leverages basic engineering theory and practices to contribute to design and analysis tasks in the oil and gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic engineering tasks.
• Prepare clear design calculations, reports, and procedures, and organize work to meet assigned deadlines.
• Review material take‑offs, check drawings, and prepare sketches of detailed designs.
• Assist in process studies, heat‑and‑material balance development, and creation of process flow diagram sketches.
• Support the preparation of initial P&IDs, material selection diagrams, and equipment sizing calculations.
• Conduct relief valve and PSV data sheet calculations for simple services and assist in bid tab evaluation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in oil and gas process engineering.
• Preferably a Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or member of a professional engineering society.
• Willingness to learn and apply industry standards, codes, and guidelines.
