Associate Professor – Computer Science

About the role

The School of Engineering, Applied Science and Technology at Canadian University Dubai seeks a full‑time Associate Professor in Computer Science. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, supervise student projects, conduct research, and engage with industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate modules such as Web Development, Virtualization & Cloud Architecture, Computer Network Programming, Mobile Application Development, and Advanced Database Systems.
• Develop and regularly update course syllabi and instructional materials to reflect current industry trends.
• Mentor and advise students on academic progress and career pathways.
• Supervise undergraduate projects, internships, and capstone experiences.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in peer‑reviewed venues, and seek external funding.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and accreditation activities.
• Build and maintain industry collaborations to create real‑world learning opportunities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Software Design, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum three years of university‑level teaching experience.
• Demonstrated record of peer‑reviewed publications.
• Ability to secure research funding and work on interdisciplinary projects.
