Audio Visual Engineer

About the role

As an AV Engineer at ALEC, you will design, integrate, test, and oversee the installation of audio‑visual systems on complex construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, AVIXA standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Designing AV systems, including audio, video, control, signal flow, and equipment layouts.
• Preparing and reviewing schematics, connection drawings, and technical documentation.
• Reviewing equipment selections, vendor proposals, and compliance requirements.
• Overseeing installations, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinating AV integration with MEP, ICT, ELV, and network systems.
• Supporting AV‑over‑IP solutions and control systems.
• Providing technical support to site teams and resolving installation challenges.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AV system design, integration, commissioning, and technical support.
• Strong experience in construction and high‑end fit‑out projects such as museums, exhibitions, theming, immersive experiences, or hospitality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• AV‑over‑IP networking, DSP, displays, control systems, and system integration.
• Knowledge of AVIXA CTS (CTS‑D or CTS‑I preferred), acoustic analysis, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Dante, Q‑SYS, Crestron, and other manufacturer certifications is an advantage.
