Audit and Assurance Manager

About the role

The Audit and Assurance Manager leads the internal audit function, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and internal standards. This role develops risk‑based audit plans, oversees engagements, and provides strategic insights to improve operational efficiency and control integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk‑based strategic and annual audit plans aligned with organizational objectives and IA standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to assess risks, monitor emerging issues, and update audit plans accordingly.
• Lead end‑to‑end audit and advisory engagements, preparing audit memoranda, reviewing risk and control matrices, and ensuring adherence to IIA standards.
• Supervise, coach, and review the work of engagement teams, guaranteeing high‑quality evidence and timely completion.
• Conduct root‑cause analyses of control deficiencies and recommend practical remediation solutions.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports, discuss findings with management, and track implementation of corrective actions.
• Escalate high‑impact issues and provide advisory support during remediation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, assurance, or related advisory functions.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit manuals, IIA standards, and risk‑based audit methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audit engagements, manage teams, and communicate findings effectively.
• Analytical mindset with capability to perform root‑cause analysis and develop actionable recommendations.

Required skills
