AutoCAD Technician – Drafting & Surveying

About the role

The AutoCAD Technician will support engineering projects by producing accurate drawings, editing documents and providing courier services between the contractor and government counterparts. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and requires on‑site presence, often in remote or challenging environments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed finished drawings from concept sketches, redlined drawings and schematics using AutoCAD.
• Apply Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE) to create topographical maps.
• Operate surveying equipment such as a theodolite, geodimeter and Trimble GPS Rover.
• Enter data, generate reports for management review and assist with administrative actions.
• Provide timely courier and delivery services between project stakeholders.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of surveying and drafting experience, including at least one year with recent AutoCAD versions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Fluent English communication skills and willingness to adapt to local culture.
• Readiness to work long hours, travel domestically and internationally, and operate in adverse weather conditions.
