AV Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AV Manager to lead the audio‑visual operations at our Ras Al‑Khaimah hotel. The role involves overseeing the setup, configuration, operation and maintenance of all AV equipment for events, meetings and daily hotel activities, while ensuring high‑quality guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation, configuration and maintenance of microphones, projectors, video displays, sound systems and video‑conferencing equipment.
• Manage AV inventory, storage, and organise equipment for events.
• Collaborate with event planners to capture AV requirements and provide on‑site support during events.
• Supervise and train the AV team, schedule tasks and conduct performance evaluations.
• Plan and execute AV setups for shows, concerts, and stage productions, including truss construction, lighting desks, DMX programming and wireless microphone frequency management.
• Maintain the AV department budget, procure equipment, negotiate with vendors and ensure cost‑effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, hygiene standards and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in AV management or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Audio‑Visual Technology, IT, Event Management or similar (preferred).
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit to perform rescues, stand for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong teamwork, discipline and professionalism in high‑pressure environments.
