B2 Certifying Engineer – Base Maintenance

About the role

The successful candidate will carry out and supervise base maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft, focusing on avionics and electrical systems under a CAR 66 B2 licence authorisation.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with the Maintenance Manager to understand work scope, priorities and documentation requirements.
• Prepare and perform scheduled aircraft maintenance, ensuring required parts, tools and ground support equipment are available.
• Conduct aircraft tests and inspections, accurately recording any defects or damage in line with approved procedures.
• Troubleshoot and rectify defects according to Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Engineering instructions.
• Sign off maintenance tasks performed or supervised within the scope of the CAR 66 B2 authorisation, verifying completion of all required documentation.
• Coordinate communications with other engineers and technicians to ensure proper hand‑over and continuity of work.
• Apply mandatory safety precautions, use appropriate GSE and protective equipment, and manage human‑factor aspects of maintenance.

Required profile

• Valid CAR 66 B2 licence authorisation.
• Experience with base maintenance of avionics and electrical systems on commercial aircraft.
• Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and task cards.
• Proven capability to certify and record maintenance work accurately.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and human‑factor considerations in maintenance.
