Bar Captain – Dubai Science Park

About the role

The Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park is seeking an experienced Bar Captain to lead daily bar operations, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and uphold the hotel’s high standards of service, hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all bar activities, ensuring beverages are prepared and presented according to hotel recipes and standards.
• Train, coach and motivate bar team members, maintaining product knowledge, service quality and operational efficiency.
• Manage inventory, conduct stock counts, apply FIFO procedures and minimise waste.
• Process POS transactions accurately, prepare sales reports and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, licensing requirements and health‑safety policies.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a supervisory bar role within a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel, upscale restaurant or high‑volume bar.
• Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages, cocktail preparation and responsible service.
• Proven leadership ability to train, motivate and maintain high service standards.
• Excellent communication skills for guest interaction, complaint handling and upselling.
• Understanding of hygiene, food‑safety regulations and basic inventory management.
