BIM Manager

About the role

The BIM Manager will lead the planning, execution and delivery of BIM projects for large‑scale construction programmes in the United Arab Emirates. Reporting to the Head of Practice, Building, the role ensures compliance with UAE authority requirements, IATA/ICAO standards and client contracts while driving digital innovation across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set up project BIM environments, including central files, templates, linked models and a BIM Project Handbook for all stakeholders.
• Plan, execute and deliver BIM deliverables for mega‑projects, ensuring alignment with UAE authority submissions and aviation design standards.
• Manage clash detection, model validation sessions and coordination with consultants, contractors and statutory authorities.
• Supervise, mentor and train BIM Engineers, architects and junior staff on BIM standards, QA/QC and best practices.
• Lead BIM automation initiatives, plugin development and the adoption of new digital technologies such as generative design and digital twins.
• Update and enforce BIM Execution Plans, quality management systems and KPI monitoring to achieve zero rework targets.
• Report regularly on BIM performance, improvements and profitability to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of BIM and CAD project management experience, including at least three mega‑project deliveries.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, GCAA, DMT, etc.).
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
