BIM/CAD Technician – Wet Utilities

About the role

The BIM/CAD Technician will support Parsons’ wet utilities projects in Dubai, working closely with the BIM Lead and design teams to produce accurate engineering models and drawings. The role combines CAD drafting, BIM modeling, and coordination to ensure project compliance and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with BIM Lead, Design Leads and Engineers to create engineering drawings, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics and component details.
• Manage BIM activities from project start‑up to completion, ensuring adherence to company QA/QC standards.
• Review drawings for readability, presentation and compliance with established standards.
• Create parametric and non‑parametric families within the BIM environment.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve model coordination issues.
• Extract schedules and quantities from the BIM model.
• Perform clash detection, generate clash reports and support content creation.
• Undertake any additional tasks related to the position as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years of CAD drafting experience on wet and dry utilities projects in the MEA/UAE region.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
