Biology Teacher – August Start

About the role

GEMS Education is seeking a Biology Teacher to join GEMS Founders School in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, for the academic year beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will deliver the biology curriculum to secondary‑level students in a British Schools Overseas accredited environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging biology lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events related to science.
• Uphold the school’s values of Grow, Flourish, Discover, Achieve.

Required profile

• Hold a BEd or a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Science/Biology, or a PGCE with QTS.
• Demonstrated ability to share exemplary teaching practices.
• Creative and enthusiastic approach to classroom and extracurricular activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with colleagues, students and parents.
• Proven track record of delivering outstanding learning outcomes.
