Business Development Executive

About the role

Energy IQ is expanding its commercial team and seeks a driven Business Development Executive to own outbound prospecting across key sectors in the UAE. This full‑time, on‑site position reports directly to the founder and focuses on generating qualified appointments with facilities directors, sustainability leads and operations decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach and email sequencing targeting hospitality, healthcare, education and manufacturing.
• Maintain a live pipeline of qualified prospects in HubSpot with accurate stage tracking.
• Book at least 25 qualified meetings per month and ensure attendance through diligent follow‑up.
• Research target accounts to understand energy spend, sustainability commitments and decision‑maker structure.
• Provide weekly pipeline updates covering outreach volume, response rates and meeting outcomes.
• Stay informed on UAE energy regulations, net‑zero commitments and sector‑specific sustainability trends.
• Collaborate with the customer success team to support onboarding and long‑term client retention.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of outbound B2B sales or business development experience in the UAE market, preferably selling to commercial organisations.
• Proven ability to generate qualified appointments and manage a sales pipeline.
• Strong knowledge of UAE energy and sustainability landscape.

Required skills

• HubSpot CRM proficiency.
