Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth for a leading freight forwarding and logistics provider in the UAE. The role focuses on generating new business, expanding the customer base and promoting a full suite of logistics services across Sharjah and Jebel Ali.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers while nurturing existing client relationships.
• Sell end‑to‑end logistics solutions, including Ocean Freight (FCL & LCL), Air Freight, Break Bulk, ODC shipments and cross‑trade services.
• Promote additional services such as warehousing, distribution, customs clearance and transportation.
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline and achieve revenue targets.
• Prepare competitive quotations, follow up on renewals and support timely payment collection.
• Collaborate closely with operations and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of proven sales experience in freight forwarding, covering both air and sea freight.
• Existing network and customer base within the UAE logistics market.
• Strong track record of new‑business generation and client relationship management.
• Good understanding of freight forwarding operations, import/export and cross‑trade shipments.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
