Business Development Manager

About the role

This strategic, business‑critical position is responsible for driving business development and market expansion across the UAE. Based in the Abu Dhabi office, the role reports to the Business Development Director and works closely with executive management to strengthen client relationships and generate new opportunities within the architecture, landscape architecture, engineering and broader AEC consultancy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain market intelligence and identify project opportunities across the region.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, developers, owners, architects and engineers.
• Conduct market analyses to uncover new sectors and define growth plans.
• Identify, build and develop new client business within the architecture and engineering consultancy market.
• Deliver compelling presentations that showcase the company’s capabilities and value proposition.
• Negotiate and communicate complex business concepts to diverse audiences.
• Prospect new markets and partnership opportunities through networking and industry participation.
• Manage the full proposal lifecycle from pre‑RFP decisions to submission and follow‑up.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand presence.

Required profile

• Commercially astute and relationship‑driven professional.
• Well‑established network of Centers of Influence (government, semi‑government, developers, asset owners, architects, engineers).
• Ability to represent the firm credibly in the market and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong collaboration skills with regional leadership and technical teams.
