Business Solutions Manager – Retail IT

About the role

The Business Solutions Manager is responsible for managing and supporting business IT solutions that align with IKEA’s strategy across the UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Oman. The role focuses on analysing, designing, configuring and supporting processes to improve efficiency and meet business goals for all IKEA stores and warehouses in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Scope business requirements, determine improvement opportunities and integrate them into technical solutions.
• Elicit requirements through interviews, document analysis, surveys and site visits, then translate them into workflows that integrate with critical software.
• Develop business case justifications and cost‑benefit analyses for new technology initiatives.
• Plan, manage and evaluate team work to ensure compliance with service level agreements and IT standards across all territories.
• Manage enterprise project rollouts, service packs and hot‑fix deployments with minimal disruption.
• Continuously improve Microsoft Dynamics and other IT infrastructure to maximise departmental functionality.
• Implement global e‑Commerce and web platforms to support multi‑channel and B2B sales.
• Collaborate with global release teams, serve as the primary ERP contact and ensure application and database compliance through regular audits.

Required profile

• Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Experience delivering ERP implementations and managing cross‑territory IT projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple departments and regions.
• Commitment to maintaining alignment with IKEA and Al‑Futtaim Group standards and compliance policies.
