Buyer – Project Based

About the role

Nabors Industries is seeking a Project‑Based Buyer to support procurement activities across its Eastern Hemisphere operations, primarily in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The role will work closely with UAE Operations, warehousing teams, and the Project Management team to ensure timely and compliant purchasing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direction and advice on procurement and contract matters for the Eastern Hemisphere.
• Coordinate with UAE Operations and warehousing teams for material requirements.
• Initiate vendor additions, master service agreements (MSA) and implement purchasing policies.
• Support the Project Management team and CANRIG on all procurement needs.
• Set up and manage catalogs for Saudi Arabia, and train requestors on iSupplier for purchase‑request preparation.
• Review, renegotiate and approve contracts and purchase orders in line with the Statement of Authority.
• Track local deliveries, close out unnecessary purchase orders, and update the sole‑vendor list.
• Engage with potential vendors in KSA, negotiate terms, and contribute to QHSE objectives.

Required profile

• Authority to make procurement decisions within defined scope and ability to escalate issues.
• Accountability for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and reporting of non‑conformities.
• Strong collaboration with stakeholders to ensure operational effectiveness.

Required skills

• Proficiency with iSupplier procurement platform.
