Cable Laying Supervisor

About the role

The Cable Laying Supervisor will oversee the safe and efficient loading of 230 kV and 115 kV power cables between vessels and on‑shore facilities. This role involves coordinating with crane operators, equipment teams and other stakeholders to ensure operations follow approved procedures and drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise onsite loading of 230 kV and 115 kV cables from one vessel to another.
• Communicate with loading equipment operators, crane operators and all parties involved.
• Monitor safety aspects and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks to reinforce safety and procedural awareness.
• Oversee the set‑up of cable loading equipment onshore and on vessel decks.
• Participate in planning and preparation activities for cable loading operations.
• Work both onshore and offshore as required.
• Ensure all activities are performed according to approved procedures and drawings.
• Deliver tasks efficiently and effectively.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of relevant experience in cable handling and loading.
• Proven experience with large‑size submarine power cables.
• Valid BOSIET (OPITO approved) and H2S training certifications.
• Current offshore medical certification.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and drawings.
• Strong communication skills.
