About the role
The Care Worker will support licensed clinical staff in delivering safe, high‑quality patient care on a medical ward. Working under supervision, you will assist with direct patient care, maintain sterile supplies, and help ensure smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide fundamental patient care under the guidance of licensed personnel.
- Maintain and supervise Central Sterile Supply (CSSD) items within the ward.
- Uphold patient rights and actively participate in intentional rounds.
- Deliver general administrative services to support effective unit operations.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus a formal accredited 6‑month healthcare course, or a Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Experience in an inpatient hospital setting as a healthcare worker.
- Basic understanding of health and social care in a clinical environment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of CSSD basic functions.
- Manual handling and general ergonomic principles.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
- Functional numerical literacy.
