Catering and Conferences Services Manager

About the role

The Catering and Conferences Services Manager drives revenue for the hotel by securing and managing local catering, conference and social event business. Reporting to senior sales leadership, you will ensure a seamless handover to operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and pursue new catering and event opportunities across corporate and social segments.
• Respond promptly to inquiries, negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Collaborate with off‑property sales teams, area sales offices and distribution partners to align efforts and maximise business.
• Maintain market intelligence on competitors, economic trends and supply‑demand dynamics to inform sales strategies.
• Ensure all sales activities comply with Ritz‑Carlton brand standards and service initiatives.
• Provide detailed handover to operations, guaranteeing flawless execution of events.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services or related fields, OR a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management or similar.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and build strong client relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of the local hospitality market.
