Certified Arabic Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Arabic Teacher to join our school in Dubai. The successful candidate will assess student progress, prepare pupils for examinations and inspire a deep understanding of Arabic language and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Create and use instructional resources while planning, preparing and delivering classroom activities.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Supervise Teaching Assistants and trainee teachers, acting as a role model.
• Meet Ministry of Education and school-wide performance targets.
• Participate in regular observations, CPD sessions and training.
• Maintain grade books, grade papers and perform administrative duties.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities, teachers’ committees and school events.
• Adapt curricula to reflect diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Implement incentives to keep students attentive and interested.
• Collaborate with curriculum coordinators and directors to ensure objectives are met.
• Communicate clear learning objectives and provide regular progress reports to parents.
• Assess, observe and evaluate student performance according to school assessment policy.
• Manage classroom behavior following approved disciplinary procedures.
• Supervise students during trips, breaks and other school activities.
• Participate in curriculum and pastoral meetings.
• Provide diagnostic reviews of student abilities and support the school’s mission.

Required profile

• Certified Arabic teacher with experience in secondary or primary education.
• Ability to assess and record student progress and prepare them for examinations.
• Strong lesson‑planning skills and capability to develop schemes of work.
• Experience supervising teaching assistants and trainee teachers.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and CPD.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with parents and staff.
