Certifying Engineer – Line Maintenance (B1)

About the role

The Certifying Engineer (B1) will perform, supervise, and certify line‑maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft. The role ensures aircraft serviceability, operational reliability, and continued airworthiness while complying with Air Arabia procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with the Maintenance Manager to understand work scope, priorities, and documentation requirements.
• Prepare and execute scheduled aircraft maintenance, securing required parts, tools, and ground support equipment.
• Conduct aircraft tests and inspections, identifying and recording any defects or damage.
• Troubleshoot and rectify defects in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and engineering instructions.
• Sign off maintenance tasks within the scope of the CAR 66 B1 licence, ensuring all documentation meets standards.
• Coordinate communications with engineers and technicians to ensure seamless handover and continuity.
• Manage safety by applying mandatory precautions, using proper GSE and protective equipment.
• Oversee human‑factors aspects, preventing task interruptions and following handover procedures.
• Provide internal customer service, guidance to technicians, and represent Air Arabia professionally.
• Maintain cost awareness by minimizing waste of time and materials.

Required profile

• Valid CAR 66 B1 licence authorisation.
• Proven experience in line‑maintenance and certification of aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of Air Arabia procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work safely, manage human‑factors, and communicate effectively with technical teams.
