Chef De Partie - Garde Manger Production

About the role

The Chef de Partie – Garde Manger Production will join the culinary team at W Hotels on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on preparing and presenting cold dishes, salads, and specialty items while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cold foods, salads, charcuterie, and other garde‑manger items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters and ensure proper food storage and thawing procedures.
• Maintain accurate food logs, monitor portion sizes, and ensure correct garnish and plating.
• Communicate with the Chef and service staff about menu specials, out‑of‑stock items, and excess food for daily specials.
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods and assist with inventory control.
• Follow all health, safety, and security policies, report maintenance issues, and complete required safety training.
• Uphold uniform standards and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in a garde‑manger or cold‑kitchen environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, non‑management position and follow established procedures.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.
