Chemist – Beverage Quality Assurance

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Chemist to join a leading beverage manufacturing company in the UAE. The successful candidate will ensure product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance through rigorous laboratory testing and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform chemical, physical, microbiological, and quality tests on beverages and related materials.
• Monitor critical quality parameters such as Brix, carbonation/GV, net content, taste, appearance, date coding, and closure functionality.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Investigate deviations, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective action plans.
• Support internal audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Uphold QMS, FSMS, HACCP, EMS, ISO, and OHSAS standards.
• Handle chemicals safely and keep the laboratory environment clean and contamination‑free.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
• Experience in a food‑beverage or manufacturing laboratory environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, and laboratory safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with production teams.

Required skills

• Laboratory testing and analytical instrumentation.
• Microbiological analysis.
• Quality control procedures.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
• Familiarity with QMS, FSMS, HACCP, ISO standards, and GMP compliance.
