About the role

The Chief Baker will lead the pastry and dessert operations at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort, delivering world‑class creations that reflect Anantara’s commitment to authentic hospitality. This senior position combines culinary artistry with team leadership to set new standards for luxury dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce innovative pastries, desserts and showpiece creations for daily service and special events such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries.
• Identify, train and mentor high‑potential pastry chefs, while redeploying staff lacking passion for the craft.
• Manage food cost effectively without compromising creativity and quality.
• Act as a Food Ambassador for Anantara, supporting new openings and task‑force missions.
• Participate in culinary competitions to showcase originality, creativity and product quality.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety standards throughout pastry operations.
