Civil Draftsman – Water Infrastructure

About the role

Stantec is looking for an experienced Civil Draftsman to join its water infrastructure team in Dubai. You will create accurate engineering drawings for sewerage, stormwater, drainage, irrigation, and road networks, supporting the delivery of high‑quality infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Produce and update drawings for sewerage, stormwater, drainage, irrigation, and road projects.
• Generate as‑built drawings from site surveys and construction records.
• Review existing utility and infrastructure records and incorporate them into designs.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to ensure drawing accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain drawing standards and documentation in line with company and client requirements.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and other engineering software for project documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of civil drafting experience, with at least 3–5 years in the UAE.
• Previous experience with an engineering consultancy.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interpret as‑built drawings and utility records accurately.
