Civil Engineer (Infrastructure & Roads)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join its Roads and Infrastructure team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will support the Resident Engineer in daily operational activities and act as a deputy when required, ensuring project delivery aligns with contract specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and deputize for the Resident Engineer on site.
• Supervise contractor works to meet O&M and construction standards.
• Participate in contract administration and review contractor submissions.
• Provide on‑site direction, issue site instructions, and supervise inspection staff.
• Measure work progress, monitor safety practices, and ensure quality of materials and workmanship.
• Record progress versus programme, prepare progress reports, and verify as‑built drawings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 + years post‑graduate experience in site supervision and construction management of major infrastructure/road projects in the UAE, preferably Dubai.
• Proven experience in civil supervision of large‑scale road and general infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of contractual relationships and obligations.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and oral technical communication skills.
