Civil Engineer – Offshore Projects

About the role

The Civil Engineer will join KBR’s Abu Dhabi PMC team to support offshore and onshore asset projects for ADNOC. The role focuses on structural integrity, design, inspection planning and coordination of engineering services to ensure safe and reliable operation of facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed civil and structural design and analysis of concrete and steel structures in line with ADNOC, international and industry standards.
• Carry out structural integrity assessments, fitness-for-service and condition evaluations of existing offshore and onshore assets.
• Develop Scope of Work documents and inspection programmes for non-destructive and destructive testing.
• Review, monitor and supervise consultants and contractors performing NDT/DT activities to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Evaluate inspection findings and recommend repair, strengthening, rehabilitation or replacement solutions.
• Participate in technical bid evaluations and prepare technical bid evaluation reports.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and contractors to drive effective project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised university.
• 12-15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably in oil & gas, offshore or petrochemical sectors.
• Hands-on design experience with concrete and steel structures and proven expertise in structural integrity assessments.
• Experience preparing SOWs and managing NDT/DT inspection programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise consultants, manage technical bids and coordinate large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with design codes such as ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocodes, API and ADNOC standards.
