Civil Inspector – Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Civil Inspector specialized in infrastructure projects to join its Dubai team. The role involves continuous surveillance of construction activities to ensure strict compliance with codes, standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural tests such as soil compaction, moisture content, concrete slump, air entrainment and compression.
• Conduct destructive and nondestructive examinations on metals using magnaflex, dye‑penetrant, radiographic, tension/compression, paint‑thickness and resistivity methods.
• Inspect underground piping, piling installations, and validate piping systems through P&ID checks and hydraulic pressure tests.
• Verify electrical installations for proper grounding and circuit integrity.
• Monitor painting and insulation applications to ensure required thickness and coverage.
• Provide general inspection of all construction labour and subcontracted work, including equipment alignment and balancing.
• Assist in preparing quality‑control reports, safety documentation and, when required, welder qualification tests.
• Inspect utility and road works (water, sewer, gas, electrical, pavement) for adherence to project and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil or infrastructure inspection on large‑scale projects.
• Familiarity with local and international construction codes and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&ID diagrams and test reports.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
