Civil Inspector – Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to join a major roads and infrastructure project in Dubai. The role combines on‑site inspection with supervision of civil works, ensuring all activities meet project specifications, health and safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Familiarise with contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications and health‑and‑safety measures.
• Verify contractor compliance with standards and specifications.
• Maintain daily records of contractor personnel and equipment resources.
• Conduct site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
• Liaise daily with the contractor to monitor resource allocation, safety, and equipment needs.
• Prepare daily reports covering work orders, material deliveries and inspection programmes.
• Implement site instructions issued by RE/ARE and enforce quality control procedures.
• Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of relevant civil engineering inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of roads and infrastructure construction processes.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Proven track record of maintaining accurate daily records and reporting.
